The Castle's Tower

Huge towers were constructed, from which lookouts, could see approaching enemies well in advance. If you take notice of the windows (small vertical hole) which were fairly off the ground and extremely narrow; an archer could fire accurately from within the tower, but attackers would find it difficult to counter back the offence. Higher windows and those in the inner buildings were larger to let in more light.
Drumming In the Medieval Century

The instrument designed to make all movements harmonious was the drum,
which was the voice of the Captain or Commander. The leader is the spur of the
valiant and also the heart of the coward. It was then, by the drum that orders were
given to the foot (soldiers), the clash of arms and other confused noise causes that
neither the leader nor other officers can be heard.

HOT! Lady with the Olympus E1

Have you ever held or even touched an Olympus E1? No? Yes? Do you know that it is the sexist D-SLR currently in the market. This thing gets better boost when you add in a sexy lady. No, I am not paid by Olympus, OK? Photo taken by CJ and edited by me.

So What are Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority?

CJ, Me, Shan and Keng Woo. Here, CJ and Me are busy checking how to operate the camera but the other two are busy posing for Ivy's camera.

Is This Tall Enough?

Me, setting up the tripod for the group photo. Yes, it was quite a warm day lucky for us, but the light was a little harsh. Nevertheless, at least the sky was blue and not grey (typical English weather. :)

The State Room and Hall

The Great Hall at Warwick is the largest room in the castle.
The hall as it stands today was first constructed in the 14th century,
re-built in the 17th century and restored after fire in the 19th century.
LOTR - The One Tower

This is the only tower which oversee the outside
of the castle. Pitiful human camping nearby without
knowing the danger that lays above them!!

Jurassic Park - Towering Giant Peacocks

Warwick Castle has a large garden which houses a number
of peacock wandering around in the garden.
Hmm...peacock-meat anyone??

Killing Is My Middle Name

"Die you pathetic mortal !". I remember an old saying, "Old men start the war, but the young men finish it". But at what cost ?

There seem to be a certain truth in it. Why do we start a war? Is it because of our pride, ignorance, greed, vengence, anger, attachment, insecurities, or even a mixture of the above elements?

7 Days... OMG, Did You Watch The Tape?

Oh my god, I thought the Ring's monster was just a myth until I saw this. Hollywood, would be pleased. Hey, you can do this too, just make sure you have long hair. :) Plz don't try to scare your mom. I will take no responsibility.

Models for Hire

Ivy and May in the top of the Castle.

Fight for The King

"Fight for your king!". Not a bad performance despite certain very dry humours. The show was rather informative and interactive. At least it is light years ahead compares to the "Hari ini dalam Sejarah". :) Human histories seem to be filled with fighting, killing, war and chaos. Can't we live in peace? I think this is a very complicated question.

The New Kids on The Block ?

Nop of course, we are better than that. They are history, we are the future. What are these dudes doing anyway? Inside the Warwick Castle.

A Joke a Day, Keep Your Enemies at Bay

Jokers are fun. And for those special few that serve the Royal, they are called jesters. (Thanks to Visarend for the head up) They used to entertain the Kings and the royal people in medieval times. When it is not funny, they will be deleted. Of course, the less famous can be seen in the bazaar or market! Now, they are in the castle entertaining visitors. A much better job than in old days. Do you want to be a joker? I remembered an old saying, "If you joke, make sure the audience laugh with you and not at you." Cool saying is it?.

Am I In Heaven ?

I attempted this composition after reading the book from Learning To See Creatively by Bryan Peterson. I think it is a wonderful book, highly recommended indeed. Two shots were taken, one by me and another by my friend. I spot metered the face and locked the exposure. The bright overcast sky impelled the use of flash.

Godzilla Strikes Again ! ! !

Our first destination was the Warwick castle. In there we met a friendly dragon. He is just plain friendly, just can't blast any fire. Ironically, most Europeans hates dragon. Their legends tell that dragons are manifestation of evils. They like to portray a knight killing a dragon. However, Asians and Welsh like dragons, believing that dragons are symbolic representation of heavenly strength and mystical powers.

My belief ? Personally, I think dragons are magical, proud creatures that are destined for greatness. They have very powerful aura, capable of giving you an illusion of more than what they are actually capable of. It is this secret talent of instilling confidence and fears in the followers and enemies alike, that propels them to legendary status.
